hand needle felting painting, merino
Ripe pumpkins, a sure sign of autumn, nestle on a woodsy patch of leaves and moss. Needled onto hand-dyed 100% wool felt background and framed in brown (11x14), it is ready to hang on your wall. This wool painting has a completely finished back with dust cover and picture wire.
Needle felting is a totally dry process in which loose, dyed wool fibers are repeatedly stabbed into a background using special small barbed needles. The constant movement tangles the fibers firmly into position. Framed without glass to enhance the texture, it requires no special care -- simply an occasional flick of a microfiber duster.
