Spring beckons in a profusion of pink and white magnolia blossoms. Needled with merino and corriedale wools on a dip-dyed wool background of robin's egg blue, it is framed in white and ready to hang. The back is completely finished with dust cover and picture wire. Size--11x14.
Needle felting is a totally dry process in which loose, dyed wool fibers are repeatedly stabbed into a background using special small barbed needles. The constant movement tangles the fibers firmly into position. Framed without glass to enhance the texture, it requires no special care -- simply an occasional flick of a feather or microfiber duster.
