Day lily in shades of coral, yellow and cabernet. Framed in brown (10x10), it is created with merino blend wools on a wool felt background.
Needle felting is a totally dry process in which loose, dyed wool fibers are repeatedly stabbed into a background using special small barbed needles. The constant movement tangles the fibers firmly into position. Framed without glass to enhance the texture, it requires no special care -- simply an occasional flick of a microfiber duster.
